ENGINE

The JCB Ecomax engine is so efficient that it complies with Stage IIIb/Tier 4i without the need for exhaust after- treatment systems: Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) or Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). This is because its high pressure common rail combustion system produces virtually no particulate matter in its exhaust gasses.

High pressure Common Rail Fuel Injection - Injects fuel at high pressure, up to 29,010 psi (2000bar,) with extremely precise control.

Variable Geometry Turbo Charger (VGT) Allows precise control of the quantity of air entering the engine, to match the fuel injected in order to optimize combustion efficiency.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) - is a controlled recirculation of a portion of exhaust gasses back into the combustion chamber, reducing NOx emissions.
